You might meet swanky mercenaries and movie stars, serve on a submarine, take on cyberpsychos, unscrupulous reporters, rival edge runners, and deadly special forces.
All the scenarios included in this book are created according to the “Beat Chart” system.
A beat chart is a method of classifying the scenes that appear in a scenario by role (this is called a beat) and arranging them in a way that makes it easier to understand the structure of the scenario.
Everything you need for the scene you’re doing is written down beat by beat, so you don’t have to rush through the pages.
Don’t worry if this is your first time working as a GM.
Each scenario begins with background information, a summary for the GM, the main setting and villain, and an introduction.
Next, there are several “progressions” (non-action-based beats), “cliffhangers” (action-based beats), “climax”, and “ending”.
Some scenarios have optional beats that occur based on player actions or the GM’s discretion, and multiple climaxes and endings that branch out as the session unfolds.
